About the Author

Dr. Denise Bressler is the author of the new book, Unlearning the Ropes: The Benefits of Rethinking What School Teaches You.

For over twenty years, Denise been developing and researching ways to make learning engaging for all students. She is driven by a passion to make learning exciting and equitable for everyone.
 
Denise earned her A.B. from Princeton University and her M.A. from Teachers College, Columbia University. She holds a Ph.D. in Learning Sciences and Technology from Lehigh University. Denise has presented over 40 peer-reviewed research papers and posters at both national and international conferences.
 
Denise enjoys snowboarding, rock climbing, and playing games. She is a coffee fanatic. Denise lives in New Jersey with her husband and their two children.
